Do you buy a magazine based on its: Appearance, general music info, update info, collectable info magazines (vinyls)? All of these came out equal, and this represents that people care just as much for what’s on the inside of a music magazine not just the appearance. However I thought that appearance would come out top.

How much do you spend on music magazines a month? A lot of people buy their magazines monthly so I predicted that the £0-£5 a month would be the highest as magazines wouldn’t be more than £5 a month. This gives me a good view on what price I should set mine as.

Where do you buy music magazines from? This question was to find out whether people go out of their way to buy magazines, and with local shops coming out top they do. They don’t rely on subscriptions as some commented that you so not get some freebies that are included for example: Free Guitar picks.

How often do you buy music magazines? From the earlier questions I know that people do buy magazines, and this question was to know how often people buy music magazines. Monthly came out top as this obviously is the cheapest option and mostly all magazines come out monthly.
Why do you buy music magazines?
Do you buy magazines? I asked them this as I would obviously want to know if they did read music magazines. For the small minority that don’t, I still asked them to continue the quiz so I can gain ideas on what would make them want to read music magazines.
How old are you? I didn’t specifically choose a set age I would aim the magazine on, so I tried to vary the ages of people asked. I got more 16-20 year olds than any other age, as most of them seemed to be into music and read music magazines. Asking the older generation will also give me the outlook on what they would look for in music magazines. So I can aim my magazine at all ages 16+.

Do you keep up to date with music and why? This was also a open question, I wanted to know why people keep up to date with music. These were the top 3 responses: to know up and coming artists/bands, it's interesting too and a hobby. The top answer was to know up and coming artists/bands. This gives me ideas to keep my magazine new and up front with artists and bands and what to base articles on.
Which music do you prefer to listen to? The music people listen to depend on the magazine they buy. The most popular music that came out of the questionnaire was Rock music. This gives me a idea on what music to base my magazine on.

Why do you buy music magazines?
I left this as a qualitative question so they could write their own opinions for why they buy magazines. It also would give me more ideas for what to include in my double page spread wether it be a interview or a album review. The 3 answers that all people came up with were music information, album reviews and up to date music information. Music information and up to date music information came out top.
